At the beginning of 2008, DCA launched a new membership program to directly support our vital initiatives and objectives. This creates a better opportunity to develop strong relationships with the downtown property owners, businesses and stakeholder. Thanks to the generous support of our executive and associate level members, DCA accomplished several goals through the first 12 months of the program, including:
- Relaunched the Homeless Education Campaign as “Generocity Cleveland” and installed 12 donation receptacles throughout downtown. 100% of collected funds provide direct support to the downtown homeless population
- Reduced costs and carbon footprint by going green with the Clean & Safe Program
- Created a marketing program to include adjacent neighborhoods - “Down and Aroundtown”
- Opened city Bikes in June 2009, a downtown bike rental service on E. 4th Street
- Produced a Downtown Amenities Brochure to distribute to residents and businesses
- Planned a successful economic development event, Downtown Cleveland Restaurant Week
- Actively began building relationships with City Council representatives via a downtown trolley tour
- Expanded our e-Newsletter outreach from 2,500 to 6,000 e-mail recipients
- Began a proactive outreach effort to highlight downtown’s assets by mailing DCA Welcome Packets to new residents and employees
A company's membership contribution showcases their commitment to downtown Cleveland and the work of DCA and our strategic partners. To discover the benefits of the DCA Membership Program, explore the program documents below. You can also e-mail
